Default 99-00 6x9 coupe install help

any write ups on how to install the rear speakers in a coupe? thanks

I'm assuming you mean Civic, even though you failed to mention it...

Anyways... You'll start off by removing the back seats (bottoms & backs). Then, remove both rear side panels. Then remove rear deck.

I found a couple of threads just now when I searched the archives...

thanks fro the reply, right after i posted it i just went outside and started taking the car apart peice by peice and figured it out myself. not hard, but very time consuming to a first time explorer. especially if your **** about breaking and putting things back correctly how i am.

pull out the rear seat cushions
pull out the rear seat backs
pull the rear quarter panels
pull the rear deck
change speakers

I have installed more then a few speakers in the rear of a 99 Civic and have never seen one that the grills where removable. 94

Yeah, when I installed the rears in my '98, the rear deck was one piece with plastic welds holding the grilles on.. They were not simply "pop off"...

to people spreading misinformation....

i konw from EXPERIENCE that taht grills DO NOT pop off. i've asked ALL of my friends also, they have all said the same about it.


so FU to the guy giving me a stupid newb comment becuase im definatly NOT even CLOSE to a newb
