Default Stock DA Gas Mileage?

Hi all, I just got a 1990 LS automatic for my gf and she is disappointed about the mpg she's been getting. we are getting 19-22 mpg in the city. I expected more from a stock integra. I wanted to know what everyone was getting in their DA's because I really dont know what a normal mpg I should be getting.

well i dont own a DA but that is pretty low, id say give it a tuneup, oil filter, plugs, and recently the O2 sensor has been a popular choice, i dunno how that works on G2's though so just ignore my nubby self.

"On the plus side, both transmissions deliver attractive fuel mileage: 23-25 mpg around town and past 30 mpg on the highway. Even a GS-R managed 22.4 mpg in rigorous city/suburban driving. "

i think its time to do a tune up

plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, fuel injection cleaning, tire pressure imo i think 35-37psi is best, air filter, engine flush, transmission flush, new o2 sensor. jeez after you change all these it will feel like a new car

When I first got the car, I got new

plugs and wires,

new cap & rotor,

an oil change and a new oil filter

Also, brand new tires.

so that's all taken care of.

I have been getting an EGR code and I heard that gives you crappy mileage.

Does anyone know for a fact or from experience that fixing the egr will improve mileage?

I am going to fix the egr for sure and then probably get a new 02. After working on the car it appears that nothing has ever been tampered with in the engine bay, all the nuts and bolts are super tight because they've never been broken before so it seems like it's time to get some new parts
