Bad ECU???
Ok 97 prelude h22a. I'm chasing grimlins and need help. The car isn't running right it has a wierd miss to it. Like it has variable timing or something. I ran the CEL and it is throwing 4 codes. PO172. . . rich bank 1. Not a big deal. i just put new accel injectors and a mr. gasket g sport fuel rail. I didn't turn down the regulator so that makes since. Plus with it missing like it is that could cause that too, right? P0301 and P0302 Cyl #1 and #2 missfire. The car has new plugs, wires, dist cap, rotor button, and coil. The Ign. Control Module isn't very old either. I did a compression check and checked my valve lash, everything looks good. One of my spark plugs looks as if its beeing washed by the injector. Thats why i replaced my stock ones with the accels. Didn't cure that problem. P1300 and P1399 i am not sure what these 2 codes meen. The computer at AutoZone gave a description but it was for a chrysler. It is an stock obd2 computer. Anyhelp, shots in the dark, suggestions would be great. Thanks
Ive just noticed something else about the car. It doesn't miss as long as its under a load. I put it on a friends otc scanner and the timing is wierd. it showed that it is advancing as far as 37 degrees. I checked the voltages on my tps and it was right. OBD 2 timing is controlled by the computer right??? So. . . Bad ECU??? What else could cause this??
