well, i was told by the shop that this will be a direct bolt-in... including all the wiring. now i realize that the d15 has a 3 stage vtec system while mine does not. i have a single wire hookup while the d15 has a 2 wire hookup. any way around this?

i dont have the harness of the ecu

 

don;t waste your time with 3 stage vtec

 

im not exactly sure what you mean? i have no choice... all 96+ obd2 d15b's come with 3 stage vtec

in any event i believe i now know how to wire it all up

 

i thought 96-00 civics were 1.6? Why not get a d16y8 and call it a day?

 

because i cant find a good used y8 anywhere around... and rebuilt ones go for 3 times what i paid for the d15. same power as well so who cares right?

 

Have you checked out JDM places around in the area? At most D series should run you 500$ tops!
