Default Speedometer problem.

I just recently had a ls-v swap done, on the freeway today, when i hit my signal lights, my speedometer went out of control, and now it just stays at 0. i took off the cluster and there was what looks like scorch marks by some of the bulbs back there. the bulbs aren't burnt out but the plastic lining behind the cluster looks a little toasty. i'm going to swap my stock cluster on but i was just wondering what could of caused this problem, anyone ever experience somethin like this? TIA

Sounds like some circuitry just burned up.

Got a friend with a working cluster you can borrow?
