mine never has lit up.. but my friend says his lights up.

i'm talking about the tri-angle button that's on the dash . beside the rear window defrost

 

can;t 100% recall at this point, but i don't think it does

 

if u're talking about the hazard lights, then yes mine lights up

 

it lights up on my 01' R and my friends 00' R, but not on my 94' LS or my friends 98' R. And its called the hazzard lights button/switch

 

Mine does, 2000.

 

97 here....doesn't light up along with the rear defroster. So i guess i have a burned out bulb inside the switches.

 

Yes, it is an illuminated button. I need to replace the bulb on mine one of these days...

 

mine is 01 and it has NEVER lit up since brand new

The one on my 96spec lights up but the rear demist button doesnt!

 

just found out .. my defrost button lights up but not the hazard button's light.

my defrost button is on the right. i seen some people having defrost button on the left.

That makes two of us. Mine went out a year ago, and I was second guessing myself to whether it lit up originally or not, not unlike this thread's author...

 

I don't think I've ever used mine for either R or even the LS I've owned.

Funny enough all cars have passed state inspections no problem at all in the past.

Sounds like I have something to ignite for practice laps at Expo.

Are you talking about something completely different? Sounds to me like you are talking about your hazard lights actually working, ie Blinking. And the OP is just talking about the backlight of the button itself? ... Maybe ???

Yea....look at the picture above, you'll see two #9's in the picture. If #9 is a light, and there are two lights, two things must light up or one thing lights up with two bulbs.

As you can see, there are two buttons, hazard and defrost. There is a #9 going into each button of the two buttons.
