Default vaccume leak causing code 14 - IACV?

ive cleaned my IACV and everything....dunno what else it could be, and my TB has some make a gasket stuff instead of an actual gasket so im going to replace that, just wondering if that is what is throwing the code off.

car drives fine, just at idle is rough, dosnt do non of the up a nd down idle, or anything acts like its gonna bog and die

have you tried running a ground jumper and a jumper from the battery sraight to the sensor and listen for it to pop open to see if its working

what do i now? take the sensor, and pretty much ground it, and run a posi wire and listen for it to click?

ill try that tomorrow, i was informed a vaccume leak from where the TB meets the IM will cause it to throw that code...which if that is the case, that is most likely what it is since the tb had that liquid gasket ****

thats true. when i did my swap i kept throwing that code. idled like ****. i replaced it cleaned it and nothing happened. somebody finally told me to check the sensor one ground and one positive to the sensor. not sure on the colors but its self explanitory. when i did that it worked fine. so i called hasport who did my harness and come to find out they mixed the reverse light pin and the iacv pin backwards. no wonder my reverse lights never worked. any way if you can here it click its working and look for a loose connection or a bad wire. i would deffinatly replace the throttle body gasket first. good luck

check for all possible vacum leaks. have you sprayed wd-40 around the throttle body gasket to see if the idle changes. do the same for the intake gasket

im tracing the wiring back to see if maybe the wire is shorted out, one wire splits off to i think the TPS, O2 sensor, and another one, i believe, im guessing that is a ground, then the other wire goes straight to the plug where the main harness....im gonna go look further in detail tomorrow...

everytime i paint my valve cover and do something, something else ***** up

get a diagram of the pins at the ecu and check the pin for the iacv to see if your getting a signal to the ecu
