Default Burning oil questions

Ran a B16 a year ago, never burned oil. Put the head on a B20 and burned oil on decel. Thats fine, I pulled it a part and honed the cylinders quickly and replaced the rings, still smokes. I never checked taper wear on the cylinders, due to the customer was not going to do anything about it anyways. Any ideas onto what it could be. But anyways, we boosted it at 9 psi now, she really burns the oil now, but that didnt supprise me anyways.

Ok, I used a cheap set of ebay rings, and yes I did clock them. I wasnt burning oil at first, but after a month, it sort of started again. When I boosted it, It is really bad now. I think that it is the cylinder ware. I had a problem witha mustang having to much taper wear and it burned oil on decel. We are just going to get a new block, the guy that owns the car dont want to spend the money building the motor this time round. Thanks for all the help guys

if that were the case, this would apply to all b18a/b's. b18c r/s ratios arent much better either. and they dont seem to have any problems.

you dont have to waste my time on me i guess the experts that deal with it every day dont know what they are talking about. more sideload to the cylinder walls will cause more wear.it wont be over night but it will happen. ive seen guys run a thicker head gasket on b16's,type r's what ever as long as it isnt alot of boost and have a good tune
