Default Hondata Ignition Question

Yes... after searching 2 pages of threads and hondata.com i was not able to find the easy answer to my question. I have a crane hi-6tr ignition, if i run the hondata stage 4b will i still need it or does hondata take care of ALL your ignition needs? I know ill still need the GM 3bar map sensor. Also, to do my own tuning i will need the pocket programmer... correct? i plan on doing professional dyno tuning, but to get things started i would like to do a little bit of tuning in my garage to get it up and running, etc etc. thanks in advance...

Hondata doesn't do any ignition amplification. It acts like the stock ecu and just tells the ignitor when to fire.

Anything that doesn't come with its own ignition system would need an external ignition if you wanted one. (Tec2/3 come with distributorless ignition).

You can always use the stock ignition with them.
