Default CTR PULLEY WITH BALANCED ROTATING ASSEMBLY

So I have been reading all the pros/cons/rumors to this pulley, to which my brain is so tossed on weather to buy one and try it out. So my setup is a Ls/vtec, rotating assemble was balanced with the stock pulley 3 belt. Now will I have as much of a problem with this pulley with a balanced setup rather than an unbalanced setup? THe reason i am looking into the pulley is becuase the alternator pulley hits the engin bay which could be solved by a smaller belt but the crank pulley also hits the traction bar (EF CHASSIS) so i wanted to eliminate that. Sorry about the long post let me know what you think also any other good pulleys thanks guys

For it to be a balanced setup, the machine shop needs the flywheel, crank, and balancer. If you switch to the CTR pulley, it's no longer balanced the way they did it for you.

The only way I would run it would be if it was all done together.

It has nothing to do with balance and everything to do with harmonics

You realize they are one and the same right? Harmonics are affected by balance at a given speed. When you measure vibrations of an item using a single axis accelerometer, you do so at said frequency which also happens to be the same RPM which the component is turning. I deal with this daily testing and trouble shooting aircraft. When you pull one out of rework and begin the functional check flights, you check the balance of components using the rpm that they turn at to find the total vibration in inches per second.

I guess you took what I said wrong, Its not that the N1 pulley is not balanced but it will not dampen the harmonics from the engine.

Sorry, I mistook what you said man.

Either way, if the parts are properly balanced together, the harmonic vibrations will be very low to start with. Granted with something like this, you can't make it perfect all the way through but it could be balanced to a tolerable level where it will live with the rest of the parts.
