good or bad year?
hey new to the site and was wondering if there was a good and or bad year for civics. I'm looking for a 92-95 hatch or 92-00 coupe, and eventually doing a b16 swap in it to have a little fun. cause the straight line is getting old, i need some fun in my life. any suggestions?
there is no bad year of a civic in my opinion...92-95 are OBD1 which makes them easier to tune so I would go with that. I would swap in a b16 or GSR motor and boost it. Once you go boost you never go back!

It's not difficult to convert an obd2 car back to obd1.
It's done all the time to run crome.

Yes I know...good point. I was just saying for the ease of tunning OBD1 cars are great and the years this was present was 92-95 but Yes you can convert about anything; OBD0 to OBD1 or OBD2 back to OBD1.

The only thing I ever saw that wasn't so great on the earlier Honda's was just the rust factor. However they all generally look good. Just keep your eye out for a teen driven car and watch for rust.
Bottom line, I think you should pick which one looks best to you.
Once modded the weight differences are minute and performance upgrades are all about the same.
Ek's have many other optional factory steering wheel choices.
Eg's can use ITR/integra suspension components with the least modification.
And there is a plethora more of differences, but when it comes down to it, the same things can be done to any civic between the years 92-00.
