I have just swapped this motor into my car and having issues its a gsr, running it is a auto p28, the dizzy is the msd external coil.

it starts and idle jumps to 2500, and then to 1000, and then 0 and slowly dies, unless I give it gas, it wont stay running. after it dies smoke comes out of the intake. I have searched in this subject and alot of people said check timing and the dizzy. I did this I checked the timing, put new plugs in and checked firing order now my msd cap and rotor were pretty croded but I cleaned them off and the smoke went away alittle bit but still have the starting problem.

my buddy is bringing a chipped p28 for a gsr, over later I am going to check and see if that fixes the problem but I am completly lost I have tried everything and I am stumped. Also I am running a 0bd0 t.b. I am changing that to..? only throwing two codes, lock up control solenoid, auto ecu...and the other iat but thats cause I dont have it plugged in...
