EK4 Sir > Supercharged
Dear Honda ppl,
I currently have a JDM Honda Civic Ek4 AUTOMATIC Sir. However where i live it is extremely costly to do a conversion from auto to manual. My question is Can i supercharge my sir with the auto tranny? I would be using a jackson racing supercharger.
Would the auto tranny be able to hold such power or would the tranny give way and break?.

The tranny would take a poop unless you custom fabricated differentials and got beefy axles.
Here's what I'd do:
1) Sell your car and buy a manual
or
2) Buy the parts and do the swap yourself
I Highly suggest #1

I say number 2 its not really that hard and it would be worth it for your car

Other than having to swap the linkage and the TRANNY
yeah, it's an easy swap.

since your car is an ek bodystyle, you have to get a new xmeber mount, speed snesor, trans, flywheel, clutch, pedal assembly, clutch master cyl, hardlines, convert your ecu to manual or grab a manual ecu, do some simple wiring such as the reverse light trick, flywheel bolts

$600+ in parts and 20 hours + work for a first timer.
I'd get a manual car.

im going to give you this one and only response you idiot,
its not 20 hours worth of work and no where near 600 dollars, probably costs less than 100 bucks in parts, and then the trans which is a good 250 ish

Find me a first timer that feels confident enough to even do a tranny swap.
Find me a skilled mechanic that can do that work in 5 hours. It's usually considered a weekend project for most DIY'ers.

^^ And what part of that screams $100 in parts??
I'm an idiot, right, I've got a scholarship for school and you didn't even go to school? Any shmo can get through high school. Don't get me started.

i would do the auto to manual but you say its too costly, i am not that familiar with the Sir auto trans so i dunno, if buying a manual car was an option you would have said so, i would suggest saving the money and auto to manual that thing, where are you located??

ek forever guy and team rs2 are both right, and wrong. it will be an expensive swap and it seems intimidating but its not the hardest kind of project by any means. but if you arent a good mechanic and its your daily driver dont even think about trying it. the first thing you will need is a mechanics reference book (try and find an actual honda one if you plan on working on it often) make a 2x3 foot dolly with four wheels to set the cradle on. disconnect everything required to pull the cradle out. use a cherry picker to lift the front of the car over the cradle and roll the cradle out. swap the tranny and mounts. now mount your compartment parts needed as well as your pedal set. remove the automatic gear shifter and. cables put in your manual set put your cradle back and put the car down and reattatch change out your computer and you have a manual car.
now just throw in some technical frustration, dirt, oil, blood, and a few expetives and you have a general idea of what you are getting into with the conversion. or just sell the car and buy a manual model what do you think

Iono how things roll in ur garage chief but I've done 'em for free (you can pick up Z6 or B7 motors for free sometimes if the motor is blown or something) and < 2 hours for the trans swap w/ 2 pple...so 2 pple? Say one person, double it, call it < 4 hours.

if he has a real ek4, its going to have a b16, bet you cant find one of those for free!? i'll bet ek forever guy is right, and its going to get close to $600 to do the swap

too bad it has nothing to do with the op's question
not many of us from the states can answer your question because the b16 auto tranny never made it to america so it hasn't been tried and tested here
