hey guys

in my auto civic (yeah i know), the transmission will sometimes "lurch" forward when i am accelerating. and to give the manual drivers out there a perspective on my issue, it feels like someone is putting in the clutch while not giving the car enough gas

it doesnt happen all the time, but when it happens its not that big of a deal. i talked with a mechanic and he said that honda transmissions are supposed to be like that? i've read that the honda auto tranny is probably one of the weakest ones out there.

my civic has about 120k miles now. when does the tranny usually give problems?
maybe its time for a manual conversion?

mine had 152k when it started slipping, tcc wouldn't engage either, i didn't care cause i wanted a swap anyway. just put a manual in it, not hard at all. axles will work with both

I just hit 150k, mines acting silly too. Although I'd rather have a totally new vehicle.
