Default Most cost efficient way?

Ive been wanting to do a B18C Type R swap in my 94 LX for a while now. Id like to have the car into the 10s at least. I was thinking an all motor build. But I got to thinking, what would be the most cost efficient way to get there? All motor Type R or a GSR and turbo? What kind of power would I need to be putting down to get near the 10s?

You won't get to 10's all motor with just the normal stuff, not at least if you run with some kind of a budget. Boost can get you there, but can also be pricey to do it the right way. Average number to hit a 10 sec. run in an early year ED/EF chassis is somewhere near the 425-450hp with a very good suspension and slicks setup just to give you a rough idea.

I figured boost would be the best way. Ive got to start researching my options then. Id like to see around 500hp, but its going to have to be somewhat reliable. Its my DD. Plus Ive always wanted a boosted car.

In the mean time I want to go ahead and swap in a 5 speed. What would be the best trans to get? Si maybe?

There are 3 aspects to building a car, but you can only pick 2 of them: 1. Cheap, 2. Reliable, and 3. Fast. To take a car and build a 500whp motor into it and expect it to be a DD is not going to happen. Most I've ever had as a DD was 317whp out of a built b16a/sc61 @ 13psi and even then it was very unruly on the street. I think you may want to re-think your game plan a bit.

I picked fast and reliable a while back. So what I want is not going to happen and still be a DD?
