Sprung vs. unsprung clutch disk?

Sprung vs. unsprung clutch disk?
I just recently bought a ACT clutch kit with a HD pressure plate and a 6 puck unsprung race disk for my 00 civic si and Im starting to wonder how harsh the unsprung disk is going to be. This car is my dd and I really dont want anything too rough. Is there a good sprung disk option I could go with or should I just stay with the unsprung disk? Fyi my car is making about 200wtq.

My friend, who knows his stuff, said even his 4 puck unsprung isn't too harsh. obviously it engages harder, but it is still daily driveable. he said he doesn't think there is much difference between sprung and unsprun.

Normally, you dont want to put an unsprung clutch disk on a daily driver because of the hard engagement. Thats why they make a sprung and unsprung version of it. But really, it depends on the driver. The only part that sucks is that no matter what anyone tells you here, you'll find our for yourself once you install and drive and see if its convenient or not convenient for you since you are the driver of that car.

It's a little harsh and skips a little, but when you really rev your car and switch gears, it catches unlike the stock clutch where it slips a little. I DD my Si with a Karbonite clutch. It's nice.

I am interested to hear the OP's opinion once he decides what to do. I am about to purchase a new clutch for my DD and trying to decide the sprung vs. unsprung question also.

you will be used to it in 5 minutes or less. might stall it once or twice the first week,after then it will feel like stock. ive had a bunch of them.
now i get in my car with the xt pp and 6puck unsprung it makes my hdpp and 6 puck feel like a 200k mile oe clutch hahaah
