Default Track times for my recently finished peakboost gsr.......

Well it was about what i expected to be. I went hoping to run a low 13 and accomplished my goal. Now that i know im where i should be im going to get some DR's. This was my first pass of the day on kumho spt's w/ 40psi of pressure, lol! These runs were @ roughly 9.5lbs of boost. I could have cranked it up to 10 or 11 but whats the point if im not hookin up now.........

60' 2.238 (ouch)

330 6.161

1/8 9.045 @ 85.1 (first half is killin me!)

1000 11.47

1/4 13.47 @ 111.3

I lowered the tire pressure and the weather cooled down a bit and i didnt get any better. Some 2.5 and 2.4 60ft times and some considerable wheel hop at the top of 1st gear that was hard to modulate for some reason. The first run of the day went great, it hooked right up and i stayed out of the top of first and shifted to second but also got some spin...... I can definitely better these times on street tires but i might as well learn on some DR's........ lmk what you guys think, my build is in my sig.

I think that pretty good for your first time with the car at the track. I am going to try and get into the 12s on street tires. I still think you could lower those 60s a bit more even on the street tires.

Did you get wheel hop on the first pass, or was it after you dropped the tire pressures? I know you have the full race street bar, but have you done anything else to prevent wheel hop?

I didnt get any wheel hop on the first pass, maybe i stayed out of the throttle a lil more on the first run than i did the last few.......

Havent done anything else to prevent wheel hop but i may have to adjust my traction bar a lil more...... it hasnt had a good alignment since i put it all back together. That may be some of the issue. It hopped both before and after the tire pressure change, but then again the track temp also changed. Alot of people were saying they were having problems hooking up (RWD guys as well).

If i could pull a 2.0 and get better traction in 2nd by lowering tire pressure, it prolly would be possible to dip into the 12's.......

Yeah, def get an alignment, it will help. You front lcas probably aren't right where they need to be. My bar will be here Monday, and I've also got the motor mount inserts...which should also help. I'm hoping I can get rid of wheel hop...

Wow, really nice times dude...

Ive found someone who has a pair of stock integra wheels im gonna grab up soon, i think i may want to stick to DR's just so i dont go breaking axles........

The problem i have is that i have to use a 15in wheel due to having an nsx brake setup on the car........ anything smaller wont clear that calipers. This might make my only option DR's..........

drag radials are fine but i have found that with higher hp cars they aer not the best...i was launching at 7500rpms on those slicks and i have stock axles from 1995 in the car. those axels have seen about 10 or 12 7500 rpm launches on slicks. i had a freind with 400 whp in his car and he had the same thing going on. just watch out for wheel hop and learn how the car reacts off the line. if you start your launch with a bit of a slip you will not need to worry about hte axels as much. the shock is what breaks them...not the power. infact you are more likely to break them with a lower power car due to the fact that a low hp car wont spin them as easily as a hi hp car. anywas. im sure you know what you are doing and im sure you will be very pleased withy our set-up. keep usposted on it. have fun.
