Default Does this sound right?

Ok im looking at a 1993 civic hb. The car is almost perfect on the outside. Radio is gone and interior is in good condition no burn holes or tears. The motor use to be a stock d15. That motor blew and he did a 1998 honda vtec swap. Only thing the car needs to run is the ecu. Can i get the ecu reprogramed or what? He wants 1000 for it does this sound like a good deal please let me know anything helps.

Sounds like a good deal for $1000.

Buy the ecu that works for the car, go test drive it and plug in the good ecu.

1. write down the vin# on the engine he has in the car. ask to see a reciept for the engine. give the vin# to any police dept. for check to see if the engine has been stolen.

2. then see what your local state law is on engine swaps as it relates to getting the car legally smogged with the current engine.

3. then check the rear middle fender area for rust, check on the underside.

other than that everything else can be fixed minimally. good luck.
