ok guys i rattle canned my ef white gloss/flat black. i used cheap paint tho. i just thoroughly cleaned my car and bought my supplies for painting it. alot of write ups say after i paint the car i should clear coat it. which i would like to do. what should i use to finish the paint after im done? turtle wax rubbing compound is popular, and some polish or wax? i assume u use the rubbing compound and polish after the clear coat? and which is recommended for the final step of my project? polish or wax?

 

wetsand with a very fine grit, then buff it with compound.

Yup, buff with compound and then a finish glaze. You're going to want to stay away from wax for a bit.
