Ls or GSR stock sleeves for turbo?
Trying to build a block for 400 hp reliable daily driven for the max 20psi limit on stock sleeves. Not tryin to boost higher than 20 psi. Plannin to put je pistons, eagle rods, block guard and puttin on a b16 head with gsr cams, supertech dual springs and retainers.
Now my question is, does it matter which block i do this to whether it be an Ls or Gsr block, since im goin to leave the sleeves stock? And or is there any advantages or disadvantages?

I would get whichever one is cheaper. Or, if you already have one, build what you have. The LS has slightly worse rod/stroke ratio, but most people don't have a problem with that. The LS also has no main girdle, oil squirters, or provisions for a knock sensor, but people get around that as well. If you're staying with stock sleeves, most people will say around 300whp is the "safe" limit on them, although plenty have made more power. If you want it to last in a daily driver, you should probably keep it around the 300 mark on stock sleeves. Also, the blockguard isn't really necessary, but headstuds are a good idea.
Stock sleeves have been known to handle 500whp with no problems. detonation kills stock sleeves. If you have a good tune stock sleeves will last a long time. also a block guard wouldn't hurt they are deff cheap enoughf
Now which block would be the best for the job, if u take all the advantages of each block? If u take the oil squirters, block girlde, and knock sensor off the GSR. Which block is best, if you compare the rod and stroke ratio of the Ls and Gsr?
