HI compression and A big 'ol turbo....
How effective is Hi compression at spooling up a turbo, compared to low compression?
For instance, A 10:1 CR with a T3/T04E (Not giving exact specs but assume it's pretty big) VS.... a 8.5:1 CR with the same turbo.
How many RPM's do you think the HI CR will be different?
Thanks for any info!

You should really be asking yourself if the turbo is good to use with the high compression.
Flow maps for the turbo will tell you if you need to run a high boost or low boost to get it into the right efficiency range.
Another words, you want to run a conservative amounts of boost on a 60-1 turbo--anything under about 15 psi. Good for a higher compression motor on low boost and great tuning.
Now for my application. A t3/t4e that doesnt really wake up to 10-11 psi and can be run up to 25 psi. Ofcourse with lower compression, it is easier to boost at those levels with the ability to go higher with race gas.
So, you should actually be matching the turbo to your motor/compression to get the best results of the turbo from the flowchart.

True.
BUT...That really didn't answer my question.
Is there truly a measurable difference in spool time between the two compressions?
That's all I'm asking.

i would rather have larger displacement than higher compression. spools turbos quicker, better torque, and safer then higher compression(easier to tune). just my opinion.

i have your little icon of the modena's crashing on my desktop... i also have the video it almost made me cry
sorry for being off topic...
as for the difference in spool time, it might make 200-400 rpm difference, need more details to answer the question correctly
