Default please oh please can some one help me

i put a new speed sensor on my car and also replaced the cluster, and my car still reads the wrong speed. says im going to fast ( maybe around 7 over--but i think it might change to more or less as i speed up and slow down) any way is there any other sensors besides the speed sensor that could be replaced and fix this problem ? thanks so much i hope i can finally rid myself of this speed issue.

1995 civic dx hatch. thanks

Have you talked to the Honda dealer about calibrating your speedo? Also, are you using different size tires then stock? maybe smaller ones?

Different size tires is my guess.

Honda/Acura admitted to wrongdoing on there speedo to where mileage racked up too fast to beat there warranty mileage.
There was a huge thing about it a couple months ago.

Google that ****.

My dads 00 accord v6 and my 91 wagon and my 94 gsr all read a few mph high.

Psssst hey if your running stock size wheels and tires maybe you should have your speedo calibrated. Its not uncommon to be several mph off. Now 2nd ? how are you checking to see if your speedo is off?

you don't you have to take it to a shop in your area that does and pay for the work. try calling you local honda dealer and see who they use if they can't do it in house

No, that's the stock size for a DX.

okay so its got to be a calibration issue? no other little bells and whistles on the car that could be out of wack since i already replaced the cluster and speed sensor.

Take it to the dealer and have them calibrate it. They can even tell you if that's your problem or not.

It can be done about 206 differen't ways I've seen it done at least 4-5 differen't ways.

I've seen it digitally calibrated on a side program on a dyno, a laser reader on the tire which you plug the tire size in to, and gps calibration.

Most common is take the needle off - I think that's a dumb idea.

I haven't really seen a "sure way" to do it.
