Default rc inj. sitting too high?

i have a set of rc 550, i installed them with new rings and the injector kinda just sits on the oem o ring. the grooves of the injector meets with the top inner edge of the ring, doesn't leak or anything. is this good or bad. seems to run fine but sometimes at cold start, rev would feel like fuel cut. do i have to bore out the o ring so the injector will sit more properly and further down? or am i fine?

You used the OEM lower seals? The RC's should have come with new lower seals that are about half as tall as the OEM ones. That might be your problem. If you have access to OEM D16Y8 lower seals, those should work since I recall my old Y8 having smaller seals.

Agreed.

My RC 550's sit high too...I originally thought I somehow installed them wrong, but that is just how they sit.

Granted, we dont have a pic to go by, but im sure I know what you're saying. My car runs/idles perfect w/ them.

Im sure you're fine.

I dont remember which ones i used, but as long as there are no leaks...dont worry about it.
