MY car has BUGS
1.) I got the valves done to the right spec and every thing...drove it and it was fine then I let vtec kick in and it started ticking again.
2.) When it started ticking again it wouldnt idle....I would push in the clutch and the car would cut off.
p.s I put 2nd generation b16 cams in a first generation b16...should I put the stock ones back in?

After you adjusted them, did you let it idle & warm up completely (fan comes on) before driving? My guess is the adjustment wasn't just right, and started ticking after warming up.
As for it going dead when you push in the clutch, my guess is the ecu has to be reset, or even retuned. Follow the normal idle readjustment procedure listed in a HELMS manual, and that may fix it. I know the diff in cams are very slight, but may be enough to throw it out of wack.

I have good compression...but can any one tell me if this would make the valves tick

I figured out what it was I think
I had a bolt along time ago in the head that I broke so I had to drill it out and put a recoil in it...I use towels to put around where I was drilling and I used a vaccum cleaner to get out the shavings but I found some on the rocker arms....Ima clean all that out and see how it runs....
Ill let you know how it turns out
