B16 Tranny Problems

Default B16 Tranny Problems

My car is a 2000 civic si and wen im short shifting jus driving around i can do all my gears.. but wen i drive it hard and hit Vtec n 2nd and shift n to 3rd.. i get a grind sound.. now at first i thought it was me but i tried like 5 times and still same thing.. any ideas??? PLEASE

naw.. its all good wen im short shifting it only happens wen i hit Vtec coming out of 2nd goin n 2 3rd .. but every other gear is good..

Definetely a syncro issue, what you can do to preserve the life of it is go and get some GM Syncromesh and flush out your old tranny fluid and put that in. Then avoid going into 3rd gear for about 1000 miles 1 2 4. Try it after 1000 miles and it should be a little better. Well, thats how it worked for me anyways, grinds are very minimal now

x2 on the GM syncro i also like the amsoil mtf sorry to hear but thats a common issue
