Default help with catchcan/pcv setup???

built ls/vtec going into 97 ek coupe.

my block did not come with the black box breather, and i dont see the nipple ( i know some years didnt have this setup).

i know ls/vtecs pretty much need something to help the blowby etc. so what would you run?

id like to run a catchcan, but im not quite sure how to hook it up, i dont think the big nipple on the vc to can to intake will do much to replace the pcv...

any help is greatly appreciated!

im not positive which was which. i just no when i bought my block the guy didnt have it so im not sure if mine had it originally or not.

i think i need to run a line from where the pcv box connects to the manifold but im not sure...wish i could afford the endyn breather.

bump.

ok so after reading alot...i found my block never had the black box (the big hole is plugged).

so whats my best bet on a catch can for my high comp motor? should i do two fittings on the front of the valve cover?

just run the 2 hoses to a catch can with an little air filter and eliminate the pcv system all together. I have an obd1 with the black breather box and i'm running the 2 hoses from the little box and the one on the vlv cover to a catch can, thats it thats all. **** the pcv, scavaging crankcase fumes is so low performance. I will be drilling the holes even bigger eventually to run bigger lines for even more cc ventilation. but doing this won't pass smog test.

There are 2 plugs on the back of the block in the oil return passages that can be removed and replaced with a different plug, one that has a threaded hole in the center that's usually used for some type of temp sensor (such as a rad fan switch). There's an article somewhere on here that elaborates on it for a pcv/catchcan setup, do a search for it and you should find it.
