I just bought the Endyne Catch can kit... Where do I get a Hex 14 to remove the plugs?
As the topic says... I checked Sears, no luck... Autozone, no luck....
I even went to Honda, and asked if they sold the tool... they looked through books for an EASY half hour and still nothing.
I know its a 14 because a 14 MM bolt head fit right in it... It's Hex, and there's two to be removed. One just up and to the driver side fromt he oil filter, and one was hiding behind the stock PCV can... How do I get these damn plugs out?!
I'm about to give up... anyone else install this thing yet?

either buy the 14mm hex tool or use the redneck method.
Grab that 14mm bolt you had and use 2 nuts on it jammed together, turn it rigth out. Just like removing a exhaust stud from the head.

Mista Bone - Where can I get the 14 mm hex tool is the question... I can't find it anywhere.
its called an allen key but what the hell... i call them hex's 2 when i forget there allen's
Autozone sells them in sets. They are sockets, not Allen type wrenches. They sell them in the specialty tools area. I think they are mainly used for transmission disassembly.
I cant believe you wasted your money on that Endyn pos. You can buy the same thing from summit and a trip to pepboys for like $30 less.
Sorry, this isnt helping your question.

Go to Sears and get a 9/16" allen or socket drive, it is very close to 14mm, that's what I used.
OK, tell me how much $30 less than retail is, because I did not pay retail for it , Mr Smarty Pants.
I had Dinner at Trek 2 Texas with 2 Endyne distributors, Alan from Eagle, and Thomas Payn.
Now. You think I paid retail?
Ok, enough flaming of people telling me I paid too much for something they have no idea how much I paid for.
I checked AutoZone's specialty tools, and the largest Allen they have they call an H12, or 12 MM Allen Socket.
I checked at Sears... and the only Allens they carry are all up to 10, then 12, and then it jumps to 17mm, and the clerk told me they have no part number for anything in between.
AND to top it all off, Honda tells me they have no listing for the tool, and the parts guy actually broke out 2 or 3 specialty manuals and we had no luck.
Has anyone actually bought and used this tool i speak of?

Would it be possible to use some size of torx bit to remove the plugs? I know those are pretty common in some larger sizes...I work at a parts store and I looked today and we only have up to 12mm in allen keys, but I recall we have some damn-large socket bits (with a hex-head) like that for brake repair. that might work too.
