ok, i installed my vafc and when roadtesting i got a CEL when i hit vtec. wtf?! i have a p28 and a jdm b16a installed. could it be that VTM wire thing? i'm gonna disconnect that wire i think. any help guys? thanks.

 

What code is it throwing? That's usually a big clue as to what the problem is.

 

sorry, it's a vtec solenoid code. the solenoid works till the check engine light comes on then no more vtec. it all worked ok till i installed the vafc. i double checked all the connections. i think it's the VTW wire but i'm just not sure.

 

Do you have the engine type and sensor type setup correctly in the VAFC? What's your VTEC engagement set at?

 

disconnected the VTW wire and everything is ok now. everything seems to be in order so, whatevers. thanks for the help though cause i did find that the sensor type was wrong but that wasn't the problem. thanks again inspyral!
