Default WTF D15B Overheating

Hey guys this is my problem i just swapped in a D15B in my 93 Honda Lx!!! for some reason i have bought two thermostats and they dont seem to open i mean WTF? I mean is it my car or these fucken cheao as autozone thermos.! I mean my dad ran the car without it and nothing.i dont know how long he drove it w/o thermo but in my case i drive it less than 5 minutesw/thermo and bam its at H! Any help or suggestions would be appreciated

make sure you dont have any air in the cooling system, this can cause hot spots, otherwise i,d just try a thermostat from a diff, part store, or from honda??? good luck

maybe your switch is bad and not turning your fan on. maybe your fan is bad completly.

oh and like he said make sure all the air is bled out the cooling system, it will make you run hot too. make sure you have no leaks, check real good. i had a pinhole sized hole in my heater hose and mines use to run hot.

my brothers d15b is having the same prob, but as long as he keeps on climate control over on hot(but not on) it runs right in the middle.

That **** turns on!!! But I mean the fan switch aint going to get activated if nocoolant is running on bottom hose no coolant no heated water o fan ! I guess thats how it works unless im wrong!? Anybody correct me?

well maybe your water pump is fucked up and no coolant is flowing. your thermostat should be fine if this is the second one already. **** if all else fails run it without the thermostat

My point exactly my dad ran it without thermo and no heated temp!! I even ran it a while i mean longer than the other one lasts!! but as soon as i put a thermo boom back to H!! I mean WTF dude ! anyways quick Q for you how did he install the IACV since the D15B intake mani doesnt have the extra fitting for that hose Also my pump is new!!!!!

he has a skunk2 intake manifold on it, what kind of condition is your radaitor in? you should try to keep the climate control on hot with the heat off and see if your still overheats.

Should i buy for a 1.6 is there a diffirence
