replaced tb/wp/tensioner, now rattle coming from that side?
Just finished the job, it was a bitch. I started my car and there's a fast, constant rattle sound at idle. I only ran the car for about 10 seconds, because I can't afford to break anything. I searched and am hoping maybe a drive belt is too tight? Since it took me this long to take everything apart I'm wanting to eliminate anything before I take everything off again.
Some searches said it could be my water pump? Since mine is new I don't see why it would be making sound. All parts used were from honda.
it could be
tight drive belts
tight tb
water pump
tensioner
anybody have any ideas how to figure out what's messed up? I need this car running healthy tonight, I have to work.

Something is loose or not aligned. Check timing belt covers, tensioner bolts, oilcap, etc.; anything you loosen or removed previously. Try giving a hard shake with your hand on some of the items.
Most likely not the timing belt being too tight or water pump.

A bitch? Its the easiest thing in the world especially on a SOHC.

lol I wouldn't classify it as "the easiest job in the world." I found it difficult. IMO, it was easier to pull and reinstall the engine in my old CRX than it was to do this.
It was a really tight space to work in, and i busted my knuckles more than a few times. Changing spark plugs is a lot closer to the easiest thing in the world than replacing the tb/wp/tensioner is. I'm sorry that my mechanical ability does not reach to the obviously lofty height of yours, and I'll refrain from stating my opinion on the difficulty of any job from now on.
