Depends on what you want.

The ls is definately not an option for go-fast-ness.

b16 or gsr.

b16 has the shortest gearing.

Unless it's ground off it should be stamped into the tranny.

Some just have stickers that start to come off after a good washing. I know my Y21 has only a sticker saying its a y21#########

Only stamp is the LSD baby.

LS has long gear ratios, so its only ideal for a daily driver or boost..

B16 has the shortest gear ratios, more ideal of racing a NA application

Yeah, that sticker with the bar code came off my tranny when i cleaned it. and theres no vin on the tranny.

Any other markings on the trans?

OP: Pretty much any 94-01 integra trans will work. Depending on what your plans are for the future; you should base your purchase on them.

Since there is a thread on tranny's

Will an automatic B series tranny swap easily into a 99 civic?
Buddy just trashed his auto D turbo. Idiot.

Anyway he has a B18 head and is going to buy my B16 block and wants to keep it auto for his girl.

Anyway off to use the search button but if anyone has some readily available links I am all for doing some reading.

Are you kidding me!!! LS is good for daily, I agree. But it's terrible for any performance aspect.

Who in their right mind would put an LS trnny in for performance!!!

now i have a itr tranny, same as a b16 gearing. now when i shift i stay in vtec.
i like it alot more.
