Default Honda Oil cooler on a b18c1 block...have a few questions...

I just got my oil cooler from a good friend of mine. I obviously need the threaded extension for the filter, I ordered that from Acura. Is there anything else I need?

are you talking about the b18-c5 typr r oil cooler? if so, it does not circulate oil into an external oil cooling system, it actually uses the cool side of the radiator output to cool the casing around the oil flow extension plate. take a look at a haines manual and you will see what i am talking about.

you will need the water pipe from a 94-95 GSR or ITR and some hose

Is this really a worth while mod? What is the cool side temperature of the rad? What kind of delta-T can you get in the oil? I know cooler oil is always good, but how effective is this cooler?

I think its effective enough to warrant keeping it on the ITR.
Oil temp is always above water temp during high load situations so it must
help somewhat
