Default power window woes

im tryign to fix this guys power window. its weird though and im stumped.
problem: drivers door window switch doesnt do anything to passenger window. it also doesnt have the automatic down for the drivers side. but it will go down on the drivers side.

also on the passenger side..using the passenger switch the window will go up. but not down. i've switched the motor wires around and the motor does operate the other way

what i've done: i've swapped out the motor to try that. results are the same. replaced the switch on the drivers side. same result. i've switched the rear passenger switch with the front passenger switch and the result is the same.

anyone know what the problem is?

Did the car come from the factory with power windows?
I know when I put my power ex doors on my old cx hatch I wired everything up myself and I had simular problems before I figured out I had a few wires crossed.

You may want to try and replace the switches...sometimes the actual switches go bad.

yep stock with power windows.

if you read my post good then you'll see that i've already done the switches.

i didnt get to fix it cause the guy said that 2 days is too long. (or course its not 2 full days since i have to work). but i guess he doesnt care enough to have it fixed.

i had the car in pieces and i was about to disconnect the harness at the doors and do continuity tests everywhere. oh well.
