Default Power drivers window?

My drivers window will go down when ever I try, but getting it up (pardon the expression) is another thing. Sometimes it will go up, and then sometimes I will have to wait like 5 minutes, and now last night it wouldn't go back up.

Would this be the motor? Or the switch? All fuses are good, connections are clean, with the dual switch on the drivers door, I can put the passenger window up and down just fine.

Also is there anyway to get the window up in the meantime?

thanks

Search function is down sorry

I had this problem too once, but it only lasted a minute, for a couple days. I figured it was something to do with the auto roll-down switch getting stuck on.

ok, do you think it is possible to un hook the window motor and just push up the window and then re-install the motor so it holds it up?

I don't have access to a garage so leaving the window down in an apartment complex is just asking for trouble. 1 night was enough.

See if you can get the window to power up directly. Take off the door panel, unplug the switch and apply power and ground to terminals (use wire direct from battery, if you have any). In the 5th gen - term 1, and + term 2. Terms are 1-4 with 1 being on the left with the notch on top as you look at the plug. If it goes up the motor is fine.

Prob same for 4th gen but not sure.

Would it be possible to unhook the motor and push the window up by hand and reinstall the bad motor to hold it up just for the time being.? or will this not work?
