removing my A/C

Default removing my A/C

i want to remove my A/C because it dosent work for one and it would just clear up some room and weight. i drive a 99 honda civic si B16 and was wondering is there anything that i should do b4 i start yankin parts off and what all exactly do i take off?

well you want to remove all the a/c freon (if there is any) but its not exactly legal. But anyway, just stick a flathead screwdriver into the "L" hole on the a/c lines and let it out. Then you can start "yanking" it out.

just have an ac shop take it out if you cant rent the machine... cant cost more than like 20 bucks

what all do i take out? do i remove the belt, pulley, block that pulley is connected to etc.

you got the condensor, compressor, lines, and that little can thingy.. whats it called? and if you get serious you can take out your evaporator box (under your dash)

There is no freon in that system. Honda stop using freon in ac in 1994 I beleave. Your system will be charged wiht r134 witch is not freon
