Default Tyres for 15 inch wheel?

Just wondering if a 50 profile for a 15 inch wheel would be ok for a 1993 Prelude VTEC?

My choice pick is a 225/50/15 but you can also do a 205/50/15

that tire would be ok, but the correct size is 205/55/15 for the prelude.

yeah....."ok" is relative

your car wont blow up
but 205/50/15 will make your speedo and odometor off

But it will accelerate faster!
Better gearing....

I agree. 225/50/15 or even 225/45/15 is good size for 4th and 5th gen VTEC preludes.

Well, other than Hossier I just don't know of anyone making a 225/45/15.
Billy/71DSP has those and with the 4.6-4.7FD(?) his acceleration was amazing!
I was rocking the 225/45/14 Drag Radials on my hatch and was very pleased as well......
Some people just don't know what sizing does....They install 215/45/17's and blame their poopy acceleration on heavy wheels. Im sure the increased unsprung weight plays in a bit, but not as much as having the enormous tire to turn...
