my car is lopsided. what i need to fix it?
i got a 94 civic coupe. my passenger side is down more than my driver side. the shop told me it was my lower control arm which i replace it. i replace new springs and it is still lopsided. what else can be it? can it be the shock? anyone helpful idea would help.
Wrong furum, but give us more info...
Has the car ever been wrecked? If so, how badly?
Where does the car sit lower?
Are you using stock shocks?
If you're using stock shocks, and one blows out the seal while the opposite one is fine, you may notice it sitting lopsided. If you have the car lowered, I'd assume you're using aftermarket shocks though.
Maybe someone didn't fix it corectly and now it has chassis damage. Usually if a car has been in a front end wreck and someone didn't pull the frame rail back correctly, it will sit a little lower on that side as frame rails tend to bend up (depending of course on what is hit).
Your options are pretty limited. You have on three choices in suspension assuming the shocks aren't blown. Its either the upper control arm, lower control arm, or knuckle. In the rear its either the upper arm, lower arm, or trailing arm.

it can't be the shocks cuz they don't carry the car's weight the springs do. you say you replaced the control arm and springs??
sorry my bad. didnt know this was the wrong forum. yeah i replace the springs and the lower control arm. i was assuming the shock was blown on one side. yeah the car has been hit before, but it was hit on the driver side door and back
