adjustable cam gear question

Default adjustable cam gear question

ive got a set of Ac autotechnic gear and i need to know what tooth to set them when i time it, they are on a h23a

Unless it's done on a dyno, keep it at stock (0,0). You need to see how the engine reacts to changes in order for them to be effective.

Well, after the gears are installed all you should have to do is set them to 0, 0 and tighten the 3 bolts down and do then do everything as if they were stock cam gears.

ok when installing the cam gears do they just bolt to the shaft or are they supposed to lock inplace like a key then bolt on like the stock gears are they just held inplace by a single bolt how are they adjusted?

Adjustable gears are 2 pieces. The center section bolts to the cams, and the 3 bolts on the gear holds the outer section to the middle section.
