alrite, i have a guestion,

if a turbo kit says "Oil cooled shaft & internals" that means that i don't need oil lines correct?

If not, how do i do my oil lines?

please help.. thanks!

 

Correct me if I'm wrong (I'm pretty sure I'm not though)...

You need lines...you would tap into your oil pan and run the lines to the turbo because the oil from your pan will keep the internals lubricated and somewhat cooled (there are some turbos that have water lines).

 

You need to run oil lines.

And you can't just run them to your pan, you need to tap an oil pressure source to feed the turbo, and the return line drains into the pan.

yep...theres a kit that you can buy where all you have to do is drill a hole in your oil pan and the oil line bolts right up...you can also weld it there, i believe most boosted peeps have theres welded...

 

i run mine t'd off from the oil pressure sensor, and run a drain back into a hondabonded and bolted drain


yo do need the lines, it says that becusase some turbo;s on the market dont need oil and some turbos on the market need both oil and water

 

Boosted peeps get theirs hella welded yo.

 

what you could do....get an oil filter adaptor that has italready set for oil feed line.

 

sry i dont have a pic of the return line. but heres a home rigged tapped oil pan and an oil return line that you can pic up at lowes.

the oil pan:
welded, then covered with jb weld to insure no leaking.



oil return line:
you need to find a brass fitting to fit in the tapped oil pan to connect.
