Default BlockFlush ?

Alright I got a hairline crack in the top of my raditator so I ordered a new one ... Im being told it needs to be block flushed ? Is this the same as just doing a raditator flush ? Or somthing different I searched but didnt find what I was looking for..

Anyone ?

*edit* In other words , what needs to be done to a new raditator when installing ? Any kind of flush ?

Who told you it needs a block flush?

Take out your old rad, put in the new rad, top it up of coolant and then run the car up to temperature (with cap off and yellow bucket thing in it) so that it sucks in more coolant and lets out more air bubbles.

There is a air bleeder screw/valve on your engine as well. Crack that open till pure coolant comes out of there instead of sputtering shots of coolant and air. That'll clear all the air out of your system and you'll be good to go.

If a shop recommended a coolant flush of your whole vehicle they might have suggested that due to mileage and the coolant being very old and in need of a change at which point it's then a good thing to do.

There should be a bolt on front of your engine. Take that bolt off. Remove your top radiator hose from the block. Flush it out with a hose to get the crap out of your coolant passages in the block.

There most likely will be some in there.

Or take it to a shop and they recirculate coolant through your system and trap all the debris.

That is a flush.
