Default hood clearence issues with an h22?

I am planning on doing a h22 crx this summer and I noticed while pricing the hasport mounts, hasport states that there is hood clearence issues with the stock hood. Has anyone ever had this problem? If so how can this problem be solved?

some just cut out the webbing underneath the hood or jack it up in the back for the gangsta look

i think i remember seeing that the jdm crx's that come with the zc or b16 had a hood that raised up instead of down like our stock one, to clear the timing cover i believe. so look into finding that hood.

If you get a JDM styled hood it should solve the problem. They sit a little higher and have a "bump" near the front of the hood. This is a bit of speculation, but it is what I've read and heard multiple times. If not you could always explain to whomever that you need cold air in your engine bay for extra fastness.

Cutting the webbing out is not enough. It is very thin on an EF.

You need an SiR-style hood, and even on mine (a ViS one) it still rubbed and the latch and the hinges needed a few washers.

With the stock hood I needed over an inch of spacer on the hinges and it still rubbed.
