i have a 97 coupe all stock, the throttle body makes this whistling noise. i took of the intake to see if that was causing it but it still does. it only makes noise if i floor it or if i hold the gas pedal at certain levels. thanks in advance for all your help.

 

Sounds like turbulence to me. Try cleaning it.

sometimes the throttle plate is a little out of position from the factory. this will cause a little whistling noise at a certain rpm. i wouldn't worry about it unless it is really annoying to you.

 

it actually is annoying
ill clean it out and see if it makes a difference

well i just got done cleaning it (top and bottom of plate)and drove around the block. noise was reduced but still some there.
Any suggestions??
