code 23 knock sensor when going over 40 mph

it only comes on when i go over 40.
can somoen advise me.

Exactly 40mph or just high speeds?

What happened with mine is at freeway speeds, no specific mph, I would get a CEL. Turned out my knock sensor had busted in half where the plastic piece is joined.

just replace the knock sensor, you can get them for like 40 bucks off ebay..a b series will work with the H series. see ya.

turned out to be the wire was exposed.
i guess wind speed mad it jiggle and short on the block.
tapped it up and its running great!

good to hear you got it fixed...the knock sensor wire can be a pain in the ***...i put a silicone sleeve on mine so that exact problem didnt happen.

yea there was a piece of rubber wire sleeve near by the splice.
i just taped up the splice and pulled the sleeve over it and taped that too so it would protect it.
