Del Sol Intermittent Start Problem Think its ignition switch
I have a 93 del sol with the d16z6 engine
it has an intermittent start problem, i think its the ignition switch because the car wont even turn over. I turn the key to crank it but nothing happens. The fuel pump will turn on and everything, but it wont even try to turn over. Then other times it fires right up- no problem. Has never shut off while running, only problem is while starting and it is very intermittent.

you could have a starter with a dead spot next time it happens pop the hood have some in the car try to start it and lightly tap the started with a hemmer.If it starts check and make sure all the wiring is clean and tight if it is take the starter and have it tested
