Good day Honda-tech peeps,

I have a starting problem with my del slo. Its a type s with an si engine swapped by previous owner. When i bought the car it had a push start button to start the car still does. I found out my ecu was for an automatic and swapped it for a manual. Car still functions properly, but i cant seem to get it start with my key. I have to turn the key to the on position and the start it from the button. Ive checked my ignition switch and when i try to start it two of the 5 or 6 wires on the ignition switch dont have power. Ive already installed the correct ecu. Ive checked most my fuses and still cant get this problem resolved. When i try to start my car the power goes of for a few seconds then comes back right up. Ive researched as much as i can, and given up so here i am hoping someone can lead me into the right direction to solution thanks.

betting the PO cut teh start wire and installed the push button in that wire. If so the key won't work until you remove the switch.

Push buttons start has only two wires. One to the battery and the other one onto the starter. Ignition switch on the full position will allow the car to start. If its not turned on the starting position. Push button will just turn motor but not allow it to start with out the key on in start position
