TypeR turbo/N/A
Im new to HT and that a great forum this is.I want to have a fast and reliable R and needs some advice on which route i should go.The car isnt for autox etc, but for drag strip.I need some topend power so i can keep up with the sti and evo.Should i get a
full race turbo setup or build it for all motor with spoon goodies and todas...The car is not for DD, but for weekend track...
You have more comfort with a GSR (Leather, cruise, sunroof), and less likelyhood of it getting stolen.
If you didn't buy a Type-R to take turns with, you bought it for the wrong reason... But hell, it's your car, do what you please with it.
I'd go with a nice all motor setup with a tighter final drive. You'd keep up with high 12 second cars just fine.

I second that as well. Just sell the ITR to someone who would appreciate and use it for what it was designed for and just buy a GSR.

... Oh my God... Dude, just stop, for real for real. Leave the car stock and learn how to drive/appreciate it.

lol when you say building an a "potent" all motor car this is what comes to mind:
sleeving the block for bigger pistons
Forged internals (pistons, rods, bearings, etc)
Finding a crank (ls,ge, etc) to accomplish your goals
headwork (porting, valvetrain, CAMS, etc)
Intake manifold or ITB’s (depending on what you want to do)
TUNING (a built motor is **** if you don’t tune it properly to extract the most potential out of it)
With that said if you want to take a chit on STI's and EVO's all motor is a very expensive and time consuming process (but it can be done). Look up Bradstard on HT and see what i mean.
If you want to chit on people with not so many strings attached boost (i.e. and SC or a turbo) would be a more practical route for you. The search button is your friend. Use it jOO
Btw check these forums out and the FAQ’s in the ITR forum
