Default Tires, Balence, Alignment and still a problem. Check it out

Hey guys whats up,

So I bought me some tires and had em Mounted on
my 16"s.... Well then I had an alignment done.
Guys at my pepboys were cool as **** and got it set to like 0

Well I still have a problem,

Between 24-40MPH the car shakes, like my door panels and stuff Very vilently.

And then at any speed when I hit the gas it vibrates,

I know its coming from the front end,
Mostly felt thru the pedals,

Which, Makes me think of course the front susp and hub asembly,

So my question is, If my Upper Controle Arm Ball Joints are bad could this
be the problem?

Let me know, Been trying to track this problem down.

Oh yeah, Pointless pic. :giggle:

It might even be drive-train related like axles but could be suspension, maybe balljoints.

What brand of wheels do you have? Do they require hub centric rings?

with the car that low, are you sure your axle is not rubbing against any other suspension part? btw, do you know DA low like that kill handling? coz i can see the roll center is lower than the ground.

Motor mounts, wheel bearings, bushings, and wheel might need hub rings.

Have you retorqued the lug nuts? Are the lugs correct for the wheels (tapered vs. acorn)?

I'm guessing you don't have any hubcentric rings so you should try to make it lug-centric. Try this: Jack the car up and loosen the lug nuts. Then tighten them back up and torque them to 80 ft/lbs with the wheel completely off the ground.

it is indeed english, read again, the roll center is lower than the ground.

if you still have doubt, read this, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roll_center

Axles... ball joints and wheel bearing would knock on bumps rather than cause vibration.

Key point is the accelerating causing the vibration which points to the axles or CV joints. Check for loose joints, when you're under the car grab the shaft and push up and down and check for play. Side to side movement is normal.

violent shaking/vibrations while on the gas = bad inner CV joints.

I put on crap axles from AutoZone/NAPA (same brand) and ended up having to pull them off and replace them 3 times because I kept getting bad axles.

look, dude...I dont know if you're trying to sound smart or what....but check this out. Everyone knows that the lower a car is, the better it will handle. The more tire you tuck, the better you can turn...duh. To make the car roll less, just get 14k springs front and rear. Maybe even 18k.
...

jk. You're right.

I saw a link that had a nice diagram of what roll center is and why it's bad to lower a car too much. I dunno where it is, tho. You can probably find it in the suspension forum somewheres.

haha, dude, the super low style is mad tight yo

well, always see many DA driving like that low on freeway, the car is not stable every time i saw them hitting a bump over 80mph. DA can handle great, but not at that height.
