Switch the plugs, reset ecu, and turn the car on again. You probably have them switched.

<FONT SIZE="3">DO NOT...... I REPEAT..... DO NOT SWITCH THE IAC AND EVAP PLUGS LIKE THERE THE SAME</FONT>
EVAP and IAC run off 2 different type of power systems (ones ground and ones power) and when you switch them you could fry out the ecu. IAC is a blue/yel with a yel/blk (i believe yel/blk) and evap is a pink with another color. But yea dont mix them like whatever because your ecu will smoke cause its burning.
What exactly is your car doing thats making it run like ***?
EDIT: Im talking IAT not IAC it was to early when i wrote this.

at the moment its just looped. i dont know what to connect it to. im having idle surging issues so i thuoght i might have switched some connections giving the iacv the wrong voltage, ie reversing the two, which might explain the idling.

ya ok thanks. i didnt switch them but im thinking i have the evap and iat wires reversed. i have switched them not but im getting the same code. the code goes away when i put the iat plug (red/yel and grn/wht) to the evap....this makes no sense at all. i have searched and the (red/yel and grn/wht) is definatly the iat sensor but i get a code when its plugged into the actual sensor but the code goes away when i have it plugged into the evap.

ok right now i have a blk/yel and solid red wire going to that evap canister. the iat plug is now connected to the right sensor but im getting a code. it must be my iat sensor that has gone bad. im going to try a friends sensor this afternoon.
