Default Is it possible to fry a computer this way?

te 3 sensors that having the exact same lips...i believe its the IACV a Temp sensor and maybe the TPS? b18 GSR in a 2000 SI...is it possible to fry the computer if those sensors arent in the correct spot?

Highly unlikely. The car will not run and throw codes.

TPS / MAP/ IACV/ PURGE VALVE i burnt my ecu this way and know a few people whos done the same... doesnt affect the ecu function just smells. you wont pass smog "emissions" with that ecu .

in obd1 ecu's, if you swap the IAT and IACV plugs, you can burn out the q31 transistor in the ecu.

IIRC swapping the IACV and IAT connectors just fries the IAT sensor. It's swapping the IAT and evep purge plugs that burns Q31 as I recall (Q31 is directly related to evap purge)

Q31 can be replaced. OBD2 ECUs have a couple of these on the board. I cannot recall what the numbers are on the transistor. If you feel up to fixing it, I can look at a board for you.

Yes sir, you are correct; was thinking one thing and typing another

BTW, the part number for the q31 is 2SD1780, if needed.
