ITR Water Pump in LS ??
soon i have to change my timing belt and was considering changing water pump at same time since everything will be apart already. Just wanted to know will a ITR water pump fit and work properly in my LS? If so will i feel a difference at all? just wondering
...its a water pump man...go to napa or advance auto or wherever and buy the pump that was designed for that specific motor. how often do you see mugen or skunk2 water pumps? never because its not a performance upgrade. dont take me as being a douche, im just being straight with you.
i know a water pump isnt going to give me more HP or Torque i am not dumb....just was asking because figured a ITR water pump will work better that a LS one

the answer is no
the answer is no
alright just wanted to know if a ITR one would be better off than my LS one reason I asked is because of the guide to building a LS/VTec it suggests you upgrade to a ITR Water pump thats why I asked
The only reason to upgrade to an ITR water pump is if you are going to rev the engine higher than your stock redline. The ITR water pump spins slower so the coolant doesn't cavitate at high rpms. Usually when you build an LSVTEC, you want to raise the LS rev limit to match the performance gains of the VTEC head.

Water pump is a water pump.
It's a pump. For water/coolant. To cool your engine.
How fantastic could it be?

bingo. also keep in mind all b series vtec water pumps are the same. nothing special about a type r pump. and you'll also have to use a b18c timing belt with the pump.

okay the reason i asked all this was because I might be considering going LS VTec soon so when I change it and *** a B18c timing belt with the ITR water pump will it still work fine on my LS motor?

You could also just use a b16 or b18c1 water pump.
Places might charge you more for an "ITR" magic water pump.
